Lauren Gee, Screenwriter / Producer
From the colorful world of fashion designing along with very interesting life events to include 16 years of "reality" in law enforcement, Lauren has an abundance of experiences to rely on as well as a list of ‘Who’s Who” she works with in the film industry.
Lauren comes from a total of seven generations in California with involvement in almost every aspect of the film and entertainment field and more. Her career choice in the film industry is not a surprise. Lauren is able to incorporate many of her life's experiences into stories for the enjoyment and "curiosity" of others. She promotes her screenwriting, producing and consulting services through her company, Jade King Productions.
Lauren has produced large venue antique, toy & doll shows for the general public. During this time she was the youngest person to own and personally operate a nationwide newspaper geared towards the "collector" in these areas. Lauren has also produced fund raisers for HEMG (Hispanic Education and Media Group, New Mexico) and other private & political groups. Special guests included Carlos Santana, and prominent state & local political figures.
As the Assistant to screenwriter/novelist, James Dalessandro (Owner of San Andreas Films and UCLA Professor Lew Hunter's protégé), Lauren has gained much knowledge and experience from her mentors James and papa Lew. For the past 10 years, Lauren has been James’ assistant with his screenwriting workshops in San Francisco. During this time, she was on a collaborative group adapting the life of Edgar Cayce. With the blessings of Cayce's grandson, Charles Thomas Cayce, the life story was turned into a screenplay that was pitched to Hollywood with rave reviews. Lauren has worked on several projects including the novel and screenplay 1906, which was optioned to Warner Brothers with Brad Bird (Pixar) slated to direct as their first non-animated feature.
Lauren has written for ITA, an International multi-media, multi-sensory historical family attraction company in Tel Aviv, Israel. Their goal was to build Passport Voyages (Atlantic City, NJ) to promote the history of America. At another moment in her life, a surprise phone call from Vancouver, B.C. led Lauren to a writing position with Electronic Arts on one of their top worldwide games; Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
Lauren has been with the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (2004 - present) as the Manager of Student Portfolios and Assistant to the Director of Acting in the Motion Pictures & Television/Acting Department. Lauren is a screenwriting instructor at the Academy as well. Lauren is an associate manager for AEI (Atchity Entertainment) a film and literary management company.
